UNIQUE MATERNITY SESSION?

Neon maternity sessions are a unique and visually impressive way to capture the beauty of the female body. The use of neon and vivid colors can create an otherworldly and ethereal atmosphere of photos. These types of photo shoots often involve creative poses and interesting use of light and shadow to create artistic, eye-catching maternity photos. Neon maternity sessions are a great way to capture the magic and beauty of pregnancy in an unforgettable way.

MATERNITY PORTRAITS LIKE FROM A POSTER?

I love juicy, saturated colors in maternity photography – because they add dynamics to maternity portraits. These pregnancy photos are eye-catching and memorable. By playing with studio light and shadow, I try to emphasize curves, expose what is most important in pregnancy photos and at the same time add magic and sensuality to them. If you are interested in photography far from fashionable portraits in tulle dresses or in a blooming garden, if you are looking for a maternity photographer with a head full of creative ideas – you are in the right place. I invite you to my maternity and portrait photography studio.

NEON MATERNITY SESSION STYLING

Creating unique styles in maternity photos requires creativity and… a well-equipped wardrobe. And although there is no shortage of outfits in my studio wardrobe – I prefer to use only jewelry for pregnancy sessions. Using statement jewelry is a great way to add interest and personality to your photos without relying on specific clothing styles that may go out of fashion. It allows me to focus on the model’s unique features and style, as well as the overall theme of the photo session.

In my opinion, the most beautiful outfit is the light, because it will not go out of fashion, it will not “outdate” like the cut, color or material from which the dress is made.

HAIR AND MAKE UP ON THE MATERNITY SESSION

Face and the appropriate choice of makeup and hairstyle are two of the most significant components of distinctive styling in pregnancy images. Every one of my models undergoes expert makeup application for photo shoots. My makeup professionals will match the model’s beauty, complexion, hair color, and eye color to the makeup style and colors they use.

Studio lighting necessitates intensive, slightly exaggerated makeup. Strongly accented eyes and a neutral lip color make this combo ideal for feminine styling.

STUDIO LIGHTING WORKSHOPS

Students will leave with a deeper understanding of how to effectively control and manipulate light to create stunning portraits. You’ll gain hands-on experience with various lighting setups, develop confidence in your technical skills, and learn how to add creative flair to your work. By the end of the session, you’ll have the tools and knowledge to elevate your photography and stand out in a competitive market.

We organise workshops on working with studio light in two modes:

  • A group studio lighting workshop is 10-15 students meeting where everyone has time to learn, take photos and correct their photographic habits. I make sure that each group has a similar level of advancement.
  • An individual studio lighting/ portrait workshop is a session tailored to your specific needs, with a program customized to match your skills and experience

The studio lighting workshop lasts approximately 10 hours. During the session, we work with 1-2 models, and I guide you through my entire workflow—from start to finish. This includes preparing the studio, selecting equipment to streamline your work, and sharing technical and organizational tips. We will discuss best practices for working with models, including how to prepare your clients for the session and ensure their comfort and well-being. I will teach you effective posing techniques and styling choices to highlight your clients’ beauty. Additionally, we will explore the theory behind light selection, focusing on power, angles, and the use of various modifiers

Throughout the workshop, we work with 1-3 flash units and experiment with different light modifiers. We also incorporate an artificial window setup and work with a variety of backdrops, such as paper and fine art backgrounds.

The workshop PROGRAM is structured as follows; however, it may vary based on individual needs and the time spent addressing specific questions. This flexible approach ensures that each participant gets the most out of the session and can focus on the areas they find most valuable

9.00 – 10.00 INTRODUCTION OR LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

As we will be working in a group, I would like you to get to know each other and talk about your photographic experiences so far and your expectations for the workshop. We will discuss basic studio equipment

10.00 – 12.00 THEORY OF WORKING WITH LIGHT

We will start with the basics related to the studio lighting technique (note: the subject of the training is mainly white light, we do not do neon frames using gels) . Do you know at what distance from the model and the background to place the lamp? At what height and angle to place the modifier? How to choose the power of the flash? What is the difference between a soft box and a beauty disk? How to use gates, snoots? When should I use a grid? What is rim light and backlight and when to use one and/or the other? How to create silhouette photos? How to “read” a photo and guess how it was “lit”? I will answer all these questions.

12.00 – 12.30 COFFEE BREAK

12.30 – 16.30 PORTRAIT PHOTOSHOOT (WITH 1 OR 2 MODELS)

We will work with 1 or 2 models, we will create together several unique stylizations. Each styling will be done with a different light combination. We then work in rotation so that everyone can take the same number of photos. Frames will include classic fashion style (photographs on a white background), art photographs, in costumes and lingerie.

16.30 – 17.00 LUNCH BREAK

We work with 1 or 2 models, we will create together a few – a dozen unique stylizations. Each styling will be done with a different light combination. We then work in rotation so that everyone can take the same number of photos. Frames will include classic fashion style (photographs on a white background), art photographs, in costumes and lingerie.

17.00 – 19.00 EDITING / QUESTIONS

Photo editing in Evoto, Lightroom and Photoshop. I will be showing how I use actions – which are mainly actions created by external parties (links to actions, presents and plug ins will be provided).

Following the workshop, I remain available online for further support.
